Mighty Archaon Riding Into Age Of Sigmar Soon On Winged Beast

Games Workshop have only just announced the release of Horus Heresy: Betrayal At Calth but hot on its heels is another Age of Sigmar release. Coming soon we have a new version of Archaon atop a rather massive winged beast of Chaos. See what you think of it HERE.

Archaon art

As you can see you have Archaon mounted on the top with his massive runic sword and fetching new set of armour. He is riding what amounts to effectively a Chimera rather than a dragon, with the three heads matching the daemons of Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle.

Slannesh is noticeably absent from the beast but is shown instead on Archaon’s shield at the bottom and in the key words you find concerning his rules. Overall I think this is quite a neat model.

It won’t be everyone’s cup of steaming Chaosified tea but I think that it could be a great project and provides a big bad guy for Sigmar to fight now he’s returned.
