Snap Up New Draft Packs For Android: Netrunner

Fantasy Flight Games offer some interesting options for when you want to shake things up within a meta. Their Draft Packs for Android: Netrunner, of which we now have a new set – Hardwired, give you options for assembling a random deck using new identities for both Runners and Corporations…

Draft Packs

The new Draft Packs give you a random assortment of cards from a variety of different Runner and Corporation Identities allowing you to build a deck. The new packs also include plenty of the cards from the upcoming cycle of Data Packs meaning that you might get a leg up on using them.

Card Fan

Two such cards can be seen here in the fan. We have Bailiff which is a new piece of ice which gives you some credits when the subroutine is broken. This works perfectly with a Corporation who wants to get extra funds. While the zero strength means that it can easily be gotten rid of it could be a good early piece of taxing ice.

The other card worth noting is Akshara Sareen who gives each player an additional click (action) to work with each turn. This is pretty insane as it means that some agendas, which are normally taking two turns to score, can suddenly be scored in one go. It also means Runners have more actions to work with when they go hunting for agendas – a double edged sword?

Buzz

We also have these new identities, of which I’ve picked one for the Runners and one for the Corporation (see below). They are only useable in Draft Format and have unlimited splash allowing them to take cards from anywhere which is always helpful. All of the Runners have particular abilities which tie into their ‘theme’.

Strategic Innovation

The same goes for the Corporation with their ‘more cards than any other’ trick. It’s going to be interesting to see how they work out in Draft and if they offer up some fun ways of playing the game.

Have you tried a Netrunner draft?
