Aradia Miniatures has now taken to Kickstarter for a journey into Hell. They are going to be taking a literary and sculpting journey into The Divine Comedy with their selection of miniatures for Dante’s Inferno.
The idea behind the campaign is to bring a range of 75mm figures to the tabletop for creators, hobbyists and painters. They are hoping to guide Dante all the way to his dearest Beatrice but before then they have some awesome miniatures to check out.
The sculpting for this project was done by a team that included the likes of Roberto de Meo, Ali Jalali, Joaquin Palacios, Pedro Fernandez Ramos and Alfonso Prieto which was based on the concept work of Stefano Moroni.
One of the first miniatures that caught our eye was this one of Charon, the man who guides the souls of the dead across the River Styx. The model shows the old boatman having to deal with the demonic forces that dwell in the depths and take souls for their own.
Talking of guardians we also have the mighty Cerberus here…
This is another stunning model taking on a different view and style for this beast. They’ve incorporated traditional looking faces and designs to make it feel a little bit like a Chimera.
There are many dangers down in the depths as you traverse the different levels of Hell. One of them is the Gorgon as you see here, her body coiled around some poor unfortunate soul who did not avert his eyes.
Last but not least we also have Paolo & Francesca who are forever together.
Paolo & Francesca are actually the Kickstarter Exclusive set for you to snap up from this campaign and they are in 32mm which is different from the rest of the collection. Every miniature is a resin kit that should be easy to assemble and work on.
The Stretch Goals also sounds fascinating and we can’t wait to see how big this campaign gets.
What do you think?
