The Man-Eating Manticore
The manticore is one of the most dreaded creatures of classical mythology, and now Warploque’s model have given that beast new form.
The manticore is supposed to be a lion-like creature with the face of a man and the tale of a scorpion.
Warploque have taken this original concept and ran with it, making it a lot leaner and meaner than ever before. This thing looks genuinely scary!
The Art of ArcWorlde
As work carries on with ArcWorlde: Troubles in the North, Warploque have shown off a few pieces of artwork.
The first of these is of Captain Bjorn Whitewulf, the leader of the undead pirates.
Rather than the shambling, skeletal look a lot of games go with for undead pirates, this guy looks more spectral, a nice direction as it puts me in mind of terrible ghost ships.
Alongside this foul fiend of the seas, we have been given a glimpse of a stat page from the new rulebook.
That ice queen is an intriguing figure. With her name, she could be inspired by either a priestess from Norse mythology, or the Vila or Slavik superstition.
I’m dying to find out who she is, but until the official release, I guess I’ll just have to let it go.
Are you excited for this next step in ArcWorlde?
"Leaner and meaner than ever before."
