Check Out New Battlefleet Gothic: Armada Gameplay

Tindalos Interactive have put together an Alpha gameplay example showing off the factions of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the Chaos Space Marines and the Imperials. They go into the main features of both sides and show off the battles in action.
I have to say I wasn't expecting much from this game when I saw it earlier in the year but this gameplay example has very much tipped me towards getting very excited. The effects look great and there appears to be plenty in the way of orders to give and tactics to employ.
There is even a sneaky peek at the Orks at the end where they flicker up some of their ships. I imagine they will be a DLC faction.
Let's hope the gameplay is top notch and really tactical!

Wow that was a nice suprise today, love to see that engine with HALO ships….!!!! No xbox….Boooooo….
Ah something good to look forward too. But it did sound like the Orks and Eldar are in the basic game. Im happy its for pc, I dont wanna play a rts game whitout my mouse!
I think I geeked myself.
Hopefully it has more depth than the tabletop game.

Can’t wait for this, even if its only half as much fun as the tabletop game, it will be a blast.

That looks like it will be a real blast. I will definitely keep a close eye on the development of this. Something about ship-to-ship combat of this type just seems made for an RTS game.

The graphics are really stunning!
Sounds awfully complicated for an old fart like me tho, plus my PC is likely to be far too outdated to play it..I’d rather have new models for the actual tabletop game instead..
the rts brain is not working as it used to .. much prefer turn based in some form
Positives: Graphics look nice and the damage effects also look really nice.
Negatives: Space battles on a 2d plane.
But I guess it depends on how close to the original game they are trying to keep things.
Plus 3D space battles would probably melt peoples brains.
Worked for homeworld, 3 dimensional space was awesome!
I never played Homeworld but I know it has become quite a cult classic now.
I assume that they are probably trying to keep it a bit simpler and truer to the original game as well, which is perfectly ok and could prove to be a big hit.

This actually looks excellent. The detail on the ships is perfect and the scenery looks really dynamic. It’s launching with the four races that you would expect but if it does well and they add in the full range, then taking on some Tyranid Bioships would be awesome!

I love me a space ship battle, really can’t get enough of them and this totally looks to scratch that itch. Shame it looks to be PCs only, I was hoping for it on my tablet. Maybe someone will remake home world for tablets? But I digress. Having listened to Warren on The Weekender I do agree with several of his points.
