Baueda has added a pair of new 15mm Roman Commander Sets to their collection for those Ancient wars you're fighting out on the battlefield.

Legionary Foot Command

First up we have the Legionary Foot Command which comes with a Standard, Musician and a Champion model leading the way alongside a bodyguard of sorts. A lot of research has gone into creating these sets for your Ancient armies so this will appeal to those who like your History.

In addition, you also have the Roman Cohortal Foot Command who are looking decidedly more menacing here I would say. They still fit into the same timeline as the unit above and would be great for another unit in your collection.

Roman Cohortal Foot Command

I won't pretend to know exactly who the Marian Romans were and such but they seem like awesome kits for 15mm wargamers to use.

Build Upon Your Legion

After seeing some of their new models I decided to take a poke around on the rest of their site and it was neat to see they have plenty for you to work on as you build up a Legion of your own.

Roman Mounted Command

Sticking with the theme of Command I saw this rather awesome set of Mounted Commanders giving you a Tribune, Cornicen and Vexillarius. These are all words Lloyd is going to have to get used to when it comes to putting together his own Roman army!

They also have plenty of rank and file models too including the likes of these Legionaries with Gladius.

Legionaries Advancing with Gladius

The Gladius has always been a fascinating weapon of war; a short stabbing sword that was great for use with those big heavy shields and in the tight-knit formation of a regiment.

If you're interested in Roman battle tactics I suggest this video HERE from the start of Rome which gives you a clue as to how they fought.

Do you play your Ancient games using this scale?
