Warlord Games is helping you build upon your Freeborn force for the world of Beyond The Gates Of Antares. Leading the way we have new commanders, Prince Batu and his loyal follower Baray Tsulmari.

PRINCE BATU DELHREN & COMMANDER BARAY TSULMARI

Let's learn a little more about the two of them...

"Prince Batu is a young scion of the ruling Tsulmar clan of the Freeborn House Delhren. Having misspent his youth upon the kind of frivolous and indulgent activities felt necessary to a princeling of the blood, the ruler of House Delhren and leader of the Tsulmar clan decided to put the young wastrel to good use."

I think this pairing sounds like a classic one from Hollywood movies. The design of the Freeborn is probably the best next to the Algoryn and I think it comes across in their characters well here.

"The Prince of the Delhren is accompanied by his bodyguard, Commander Baray Tsulmari. She is a highly capable soldier and leader, with stats that are better than those of Batu himself. When it comes to making unit tests, use the best value for the unit, whether that is Batu or Baray. This means the two function as a very effective team."

Of course, if you're going to be picking up these leaders they are going to need a force to lead into battle and that's where the Freeborn Starter Army comes in.

Much like with what they're now doing with their Historical armies they also have an Expansion that can be added to this set which comes with more options.

Some of the models can also be brought as separate options for the tabletop if you just want to upgrade your army bit by bit. For example, the Domari Squad is one of the sets which makes up quite a lot of the Freeborn force.

Last but not least we also have the Solar Command Skimmer which will be cruising along, working to keep your force on the straight and narrow.

Once again I like the style and design choices for the Freeborn across the board and they are one of the most up-to-date looking factions from the range. They appear to have got the aesthetic just right and they work as an alien and yet familiar looking force.

What do you think of the Freeborn?
