If you're looking for the best soldiers to run in your Napoleonic French force then look no further than the Old Guard Grenadiers that have just popped up for Black Powder by Warlord Games...

The nickname above was The Grumblers because they were forced to march all over the place to fight for Napoleon in many battles. This of course made them a stern and deadly fighting force that could hold their own against many different forces.
These soldiers would fight to the death for their Emperor and were a fearsome sight to behold on the battlefield. They were picked from the most seasoned veterans all of whom had distinguished careers. It was a real honour to fight with them.
Of course they were finally beaten at Waterloo but maybe you could change that when you pick up this unit and fight out the battle yourself?
