The game plays for between two and four players where you’ll be taking control of a Viking clan and then fighting for control of areas around the board and of course the middle which is Yggdrasil itself. At the beginning of the age you’ll draft a hand of cards (I love this in games as it means you can play how YOU want each time) and then use them during the various ages for a number of things.
For example you might use the cards in your hand to support your battle actions and pillaging of resources on the board. There are even those followers of Loki too who might throw in some deadly cards to scupper your plans. It all sounds rather cool indeed and I like the drafting aspect and the look of the board. The miniatures aren’t too shabby either…
Another Faction Leader has been spotted for the game and I think it would be safe to assume that this is the standard bearer of the Wolf Clan. Once again some stunning sculpting work based on artwork from Adrian Smith.
The game is looking great and I will be looking out for a rules video showing off the mechanics and gameplay as a whole.
What do you think?
