Inside you’re going to get some new rules features like…
- Officers activate other units! Used cleverly, this creates a huge tactical shift as you can order multiple units to fire or advance in concert.
- Big Explosions! HE fire now uses templates to determine damage – your opponent had better spread out his troops to avoid carnage!
- Armed Transports! Once your squad has piled out of its halftrack, the driver can speed around and unleash a hail of lead at the enemy!
- Player Feedback! We’ve listened carefully to the community and taken advantage of the thousands of battles you’ve played to improve the game in dozens of other ways.
One of the other big things is that they are now including Imperial Japan as one of the lists present within the main rulebook.
The changes bringing in templates and the activation of additional units during a turn might lead to some interesting new tactics on the tabletop. With the core of the game staying the same this could be very interesting.
Of course with a new version of the game we are going to get some new miniatures. One such set are the new plastic US Airborne.
These soldiers will be facing off against the German Grenadiers in the new Starter Set which is just around the corner. They are looking very nice when painted up.
Will you be getting back into Bolt Action?
