Named for a Russian folk song and nick-named Stalin’s Organ, the Katyusha was the first mass-produced self-propelled artillery fielded by the Russians during WWII. Sacrificing accuracy and reloading time for maneuverability and fire power, the Katyusha is a rather effective at hit and run (or shoot and scoot as I have been told it is also called) strikes, delivering its pay load and redeploying before the enemy has a chance to locate them.
With this model on the horizon, Soviet generals in Bolt Action will have the option to bring in a far greater level of destructive fire power. While they might not be as accurate as standard artillery, all those rockets are sure to leave a mark in the tabletop, not least on your opponent’s army.
Can you tell us more about the Katyusha? Would you include it in you Bolt Action army?
