Thousands of Opel Blitz trucks were produced during the war and put to use transporting men and supplies. To deal with the sparse road network and muddy conditions of Russia they would later be converted to the Opel Maultier, or “Mule”, which were fitted with a half-track.
This kit comes with the necessary components to make either the Opel Blitz or the Maultier variant. Seated in the back are 10 infantry models which, as John shows, can be built to be removed as the infantry embark and disembark the vehicle.
What do you think of this German soft-skin transport vehicle?
