This stunning old lady from Slavic folklore has been painted by Angel Terol and he’s done a grand job I’d say. The Baba Yaga is a strange forest dwelling being who can either help or hinder those that cross her path.
Because of this ambiguity the Baba Yaga has been seen as both a donor (someone who challenges the hero to overcome a situation) or as a villain threatening the hero. She certainly is an odd lady and the mortar and pestle filled with blood points in a very definitive direction wouldn’t you say?
Will you be using her?
