There are under 16s who use the website and that attracts interest from various watchdog groups.
We don’t want them whining at us over toy soldiers!
- Illegal Content
Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain or provide copied models or IP protected books and stuff is forbidden…
it’s hard enough making a living in this industry without people ripping you off.
Posting a thread in more than one forum is annoying and thus not allowed.
Just post it once in the correct place.
- Signature Size
To avoid annoyance, signatures should not be more than five lines of text or 100px height.
It takes enough time ploughing through some threads without having to read your blog address all the time.
- The views of the poster… blah… blah… blah…
Comments & forum messages represent the views of the poster and not necessarily the views of Beasts of War Ltd.
- Most of all have fun!
This is your place to discuss your hobby, but please remember, it’s other people’s hobby too.
Have fun and don’t be a dick!
So what ya gonna do about it?
Any penalties for the above rules are at the management team’s discretion.
However, we will not hesitate to use the ban-hammer if the situation demands it!
CLAIMING PRIZES ON BEASTS OF WAR
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
If you are lucky enough to win a prize during one of our shows or by winning one of our competitions, then first of all congratulations!
However, in order to claim your prize you need to do the following.
- Create a Beasts of War account
Creating an account is free and it allows us to easily find and confirm your email address in case of any problems.
Creating an account is free and we will not pass on any of the details provided to any external bodies.
If you won a prize through Twitter or another social network, we strongly urge you to use the same name when creating your account in
order to prevent any confusion when trying to claim a prize.
- Send an Email to Claim your Prize
You need to send an email to email@example.com and mark your subject line PRIZE WINNER
This is very important as it will filter your claim to the correct inbox.
Claims for prizes that do not follow this step may be discounted.
- Include your Delivery Details
Your email should include your Beasts of War Account Name, the account name of the social network under which you won the prize
(if it is different), the name of the competition (or the prize you won) and your delivery address.
Claims for prizes that do not include these details will be discounted.
If there is a discrepancy in your account names, we may have to contact you through the social network you won the prize through
to confirm your win.
This is to avoid fraudulent claims for prizes… it not nice or sporting… but it does happen.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- All Prizes must be Claimed Promptly
To avoid holding up delivery of prizes to other prize winner, prizes not claimed within 30 days will default. The defaulted competitions
may be redrawn, but only at the discretion of the prize sponsor.
- Sponsored Prizes are Posted by the Prize Sponsor
Prizes not sponsored by Beasts of War Ltd are delivered by the sponsor and their issue and receipt is not the responsibility of
Beasts of War Ltd.
If you believe your prize may have been misplaced, then you can contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will attempt to
resolve the situation with the sponsor.
- Fraudulent Prize Claims
In the event that we identify a fraudulent prize claim, that member will have their account terminated without notice. If you believe your account has been wrongfully terminated then you can contact us at email@example.com and make your case.
- Claim Amnesty
Details for some prizes won before December 1st 2011, were lost. As such we have an amnety for prize claims relating to prizes won before this date. If you are one of the those winners and you have not received your prize, please follow the steps outlined above and
we will attempt to rectify the situation.
However, we must warn you that there have been a number of fraudulent prize claims made during this period so we may need to
contact you via your social network to confirm any win.
Claims for prize winners announced after the above date do not qualify for amnesty and should follow the steps outlined above.
