That’s right. That fantastic plane of Innistrad has gotten a D&D twist courtesy of the wizards at Wizards of the Coast in Plane Shift: Innistrad. This experience is not intended to mimic the style of Magic the Gathering in a role playing game, with five colors of mana or ramping up spells or anything like that.
The intent is to allow you to experience experience the worlds of Magic through the lens of D&D. The download is available now at dragonmag.com.
This is one of those interesting crossover game points that may very well open up a new style of gaming for people. A loyal Magic player may be enticed to play a game of D & D with some friends when exploring Innistrad, and conversely, a D&D player that’s never tried Magic may be willing to give it a try after experiencing a taste of the worlds.
What do you think of this creative way to crossover game sets?
