the forgeworld que was mental but I did manage to get the last lugft Huron on the stand which made me happy.
Overall I’ve got to say it wasn’t as good as last year everything seemed to crowded and seemed like a giant sales pitch. With stuff i could get at my local store for the same price. I’m hoping gw will have a rethink and do something more elaborate next year.

my claims to fame from this vedo are 1) the red banner with the 40k hammer and the hammer of simar on it was the banner of the games workshop I came with (leeds) and 2) one of the guys I came with wandered aimlessley onto screen during one of the interviews followed shortly by that hot “saruman” chick who must have had biceps like tree trunks after carrying that special edition fantasy rule book round with her all day

Ok so the forgeworld queue was awful, so I sent an honest email to them, say how disappointed my son and I were. They came straight back to me, same day!

Regrettably the situation was, indeed, entirely our fault. We based the setup of our Reservations area on previous years, where customers arrived steadily throughout the day, no huge queue develops and one or two tills are normally sufficient, as despite the free show figure offer we had no reason to suspect that four hundred of our reservation customers would arrive at once, first thing, significantly overloading the team working in that area. Obviously it goes without saying that our Events Manager and myself should have anticipated this in our preparations, but again we expected a similar situation to that seen in previous years.
We always endeavour to get the space to set up a properly organised queuing system, but once again we did not receive this and are then restricted by the NEC’s fire lanes than run on either side of our stand as well as directly across the front. These cannot be blocked with barriers etc, although apparently people are acceptable. You may rest assured that we will immediately take steps to ensure that this is not repeated next year.”
