We’re going through the various areas that SmogCon occupies here at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham (UK).
As we wander through the rooms we’re going to be taking in loads of gaming across the weekend as well as some cool reveals of what lies ahead from Privateer Press for Warmachine & Hordes.

We wandered around the main hall here at SmogCon and looked at some of the games going on this morning.
All sorts is coming together including a look at some pick up games as well as some proper tournament style action that Warmachine & Hordes is famous for.
We stop off with Jason to find out about the various games which are going on today here at SmogCon as we look at the different types of games open to those playing Warmachine & Hordes.
For example they are focusing in on Masters, Steamroller and more today including Who’s The Boss which we’ll see more on later.
We spied some of the cool models that have been painted up for a number of different factions in Warmachine & Hordes. I was particularly taken with these mossy and bearded Circle Orboros Golems!
We’re stopping off with some of the gamers and doing a little bit of a walk around to talk to the different competitors as they get stuck into their events and open gaming opportunities.
As you can see they are delving right into stuff and enjoying the scenarios outlined in the SmogCon booklet which all attendees have with them.
Follow along with Justin as he helps the first few Who’s The Boss competitors get stuck into their games.
This is a pretty wild format and it would be fun to see how this one turns out! We’ll be catching up with some of the folks involved in this later on in the day.
We had a look at what Dallas was painting up over in the open gaming area. He’s so far been teaching people about wet blending and general techniques to use when bringing your model to life.
Watch out for a video soon with Dallas as he looks ahead to the rest of the day and tells us what’s great about teaching people to paint.
We catch up with the jovial Dallas from the Privateer Press crew and find out more about what he’s been teaching.

Warmahordes has quite the reputation for being one of those games where the players don’t paint their models. Well, here are some fantastic looking pieces which buck the trend.

How have things been going when it comes to the Who’s The Boss format? Well, we stop in to find out more and learn about the weird combinations that have come to life.
Some of them are decidedly more interesting than others and crucially deadly!
Some of the Press Gangers are running their way through Grind, which gets an update from Privateer Press this year.
The game is looking great and we’re looking forward to sitting down with Will Hungerford to talk about the games development cycle over the weekend.

The games are coming to a close for today ahead of the big reveal from Privateer Press.
With the focus switching over to the news of the new faction for Hordes the gaming hall is packed.

We sat in on this and it’s got quite a fantastic look to the faction. The models look great with a really fascinating aesthetic.
The new leader models all have some brilliant abilities and there is a vast array of interesting models coming too.
