We also saw this awesome desert war tabletop taking shape from some of the community members and clubs setting up games here.
This Bolt Action tabletop features a deadly battle across the sands with some amazing terrain and some wonderfully painted miniatures. One of the guys running it is also a Hobby God Bag winner!
There are loads of games being played here across all manner of gaming systems. With that in mind we give you a look at the hall in its entirey, which has been packed with people learning games and playing too.

As judged by John Stallard and company, there are some great looking entries for the Warlord Games Open Day Painting Competition. Here we have a nice mix of the Historical and some Sci-Fi too.

Have you ever sat down with a greasy breakfast and asked the question: If I could make a game for myself, what would it be? Andy’s been there and he’s joining Ben on the hot seat to discuss just how Blood Red Skies came to be.
What game would you love to make for yourself?
I got to take a look at a tabletop that I think Lance would enjoy with this one for Test Of Honour. We’re certainly interested to see how this game plays more and delve deeper into it.
The colourful designs and the kind of tabletops it inspires is worth considering.
We take a look at the cool RC Tanks that are being driven around here at the event – there are a LOT of cool tanks here and plenty of people who like the idea of learning about the history of them too.

Ben takes to the skies with Andy Chambers in his latest game, Blood Red Skies releasing soon in 2018.
Blood Red Skies is a tactical world war skirmish game with soaring planes raging destruction across the red skies of dusk.
Ben sat down with Rick Priestley to talk about how Beyond the Gates of Antares began and his future endeavours with it in a fantasy setting, dubbing it F’Antares.
Do you have any better names for Rick to choose from?
The bright and verdant look of Gates Of Antares is something of an awesome sight on the tabletop and very different from everything else out there.
With that in mind here’s a look at some of the tables.
There were a few big games being played of Bolt Action featuring some awesome clashes as part of this town fight here.
Urban environments are always interesting to see played in as they bring into play tight fire lines and more.
We got a look at some awesome Pike & Shotte battles which featured the English going up against the Scottish.
This was being played out at a leisurely pace – as any wargame should – and looked like it’s going to be a lot of fun for tomorrow.
In his first video interview, Peter Dennis sits down with Ben to tell us what it takes to create the concept to a beautiful piece of art that you see in every day boxes of your Warlord products.
Ben got to sit down with the guys behind Doctor Who: Exterminate! and talk about what the game is, what the future holds for the game and more.
