Useful stuff. Reminds me of Armorcast’s ‘cinematic’ add-ons – good to see more variety available.
You can definitely use these for energy weapons too – just change the colour palette (yellow/orange to blue/green for example).

They also make pretty good plumes of water and explosions for damage markers in things like dystopian wars.
I seen them at the local game store and I’ll be honest I didn’t clue into what they where. When I read the word flash and think of models I think if the flash you wish to cut and file off your model.
