Ganesha Games have been running a Kickstarter to bring all of us a fun race of fungi to come fighting in our tabletop fantasy games. The crowdfunding campaign has sprouted up, unlocking plenty of new mushroomoid minis, but now it approaches its final hours.

Fungifolk Overview

The idea of fungus humanoids opens up for all manner of gribbly and fascinating creations, and Ganesha Games have certainly made the most of the prospects the concept provides with some truly imaginative miniatures appearing on the Kickstarter, some of which are already starting to appear.

Matanagar

Amazon Fungi

The Kickstarter itself has proven rather successful, unlocking some even more bizarre concepts to grow on our tabletops.

Pillbug Rider

Zombie Fungus

Mykityad Forest Nymph

Wormrider

Swamp Fungus

Personally, my favourite of these has to be the Worm Rider. It is such a disgusting looking concept, it can't help but produce a fun miniature.

Now that the Kickstarter is in its final hours, Ganesha Games are hoping to get the funds to unlock even more miniatures.

Oaken Shield Paladin

Warrior Fungus Queen

Swamp Lion Monster

I particularly hope we get to see the Swamp Lion Monster (third image down). That thing looks like it crawled its way out of a twisted Mario game.

These Fightin' Fungi are very creative in design and would be a lot of fun to find featured on the tabletop, both with Ganesha's own rule systems and other games. Personally, I think these would be perfect to make a unique and interesting nature force for Kings of War.

Do you intend to support the Kickstarter before it reaches its end?
