This fellow will be able to fight alongside the likes of the Falkaaran, Haradel, Black Rose and Black Thorn Freeband when you get him stuck into the game. The feel of the model is nicely old school, reminding me of the Cavalier from the old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.
Earlier in the month the DGS guys also showed off some awesome Freeblades dioramas which had been done by members of the community. Here are the first and second place pieces…
This one is called The Witchgate by Matthew Gooch and shows the heroes trying to deal with this mystical portal whilst being approached by dangerous beasts. It brings together a lot of what makes Freeblades great with its strong narrative and role-playing draw mixed with skirmishing, objective based combat.
The second prize went to The Forge by Jennifer Felix.
This shows a Dwarf watching over the work of another kinsman working away at the anvil. It provides an interestingly different approach to the world than The Witchgate which is nice.
Have you considered diving into the world of Freeblades?
