Northstar and Osprey Publishing’s Frostgrave has launched on Nickstarter (their version of a Kickstarter but more of a pre-order system) and they’ve already bust through a bunch of stretch goals while showing off their wonderful Wizards…
What Level Of Wizard Are You?
There are a five different levels of order you can pick up for Frostgrave and while the basic one is the book itself the second level allows you to pick up the rulebook and one of the Wizard packs…
…which is quite an interesting prospect but I reckon most people are going to go for the level four pledge which gives you each of the ten Wizard packs alongside one of the packs of plastic infantry and the book of course.
If you REALLY want to get into the world of Frostgrave then you can go for the pledge below which not only gives you everything else but additional specialist soldiers and the work of fiction along with a Lich too.
“While individual games of Frostgrave are quick and can easily be played in an hour or two, it is by connecting them into an ongoing campaign that players will find the most enjoyment. In the campaign section, players will find treasure tables, rules for establishing bases, and even tables for wandering monsters. The scenarios given in the book are merely the beginning of the limitless adventures that can be found amidst the ruins of the Frozen City.”
This game really does sound intriguing and I love the background with these Wizards all coming to this city, dragging a bunch of soldiers along with them with the promise of coin and glory. Linked campaigns always win me over too.
Have you pledged for Frostgrave?
