Forge World have another new piece in their collection for those of you wanting to make up an awesome mechanical army for the grim dark future. See what you think of the Castellax Battle-Automata with Darkfire Cannon

It’s quite an awesome looking walker and I love the amount of detail they’ve gone into across these Automata. These kind of machinations really do give the world of Warhammer 30k and 40k their distinct imagery and it’s great to see them doing more.

“In battle, the Castellax is animated by an aggressive machine spirit, its armoured endoskeleton making it near impervious during its assault. It is at its most deadly, however, when paired with the arcane and lethal darkfire cannon. Unleashing screaming beams of pure darkness, armour, flesh and stone boil away with their touch, and even the most heavily armoured vehicles can be torn apart by their hellish un-light.”

With the potential of an Adeptus Mechanicus book on the way for Warhammer 40,000 do you feel like stocking up on Forge World alternatives to what’s probably going to be quite a plastic range if it goes ahead?

What do you think?
