Probably because someone took offence with you not getting the facetious nature of that chap’s post and decided to punish you for it… I’ll equalise for you.

Tried the fairy pwer spray with a toothbrush today. Tested it on some old tyranid ebay models(2 plastic and one metal). The paint came off the plastic gaunt in two soak/scrubs tho theres a couple of stubborn spots. The metal cleaned easier :)

The use of rubber gloves would be wise as would a ventalated area as I now have a headache :( suggest also a couple of bowls of water for rinsing.

Cheers for the tip tho :)

Has anyone tried the dettol with Forge World resin? I need to strip a badly painted FW Broadside but don’t want to end up with resin soup.

Not attempted with FW resin, might be best to try on any offcuttings you’ve got but it’s not corrosive or anything as it’s basically just a disinfectant liquid.

I’ve got a messed up heavy drone I’ll leave to soak, see how it goes. Thanks.

I’ve used fairy power spray and detol and detol is definately the better of the two. FPS had worked on some paint jobs really really fast, which is awesome, but I’ve found there’s some (black primer in particular) it just won’t touch where as detol does everything. No idea of it’s affects on resin.

Not tried this but have seen something else recently called Biostrip 20. Here’s a video of someone taking the paint of a heavily painted plastic termagant: http://youtu.be/yK2jGRbeL0Q
