I’m not entirely sure where you’d get the terrain but as an idea you could always find aerial photographs, print them off onto some nice card/paper and use that :)

Personally I love the idea. I would do it like this myself normally but unfortunately none of my friends play Flames of War. The only thing I would say against it though is that sometimes you want to have a small battle with only a few teams, but then of course you can play at [...]

I think I’ve seen a battle report on the WWPD (What Would Patton Do) website where they used micro armour. I think it should work find and the ranges would feel a bit more realistic (10cm for a SMG team work better the smaller the scale is). I’ve had the idea myself but haven’t gotten [...]

If you start with the Grenadiers from the Open Fire box you have a company that works well in both mid war and late war. PaK40s and StuGs were used allot in both periods being better in MW then they are in LW and therefor taking a bigger chunk out of your points for your [...]

Tank Aces game, British Vs Germans

    Thanks for watching!

No problem evans970. The first thing about these rules, they are written for 20mm 1/72 scale, but I see no reason why you can’t use 15mm or 28mm figures with them. In the basic rulebook their is basic unit make ups for British, American, German and Russian forces. These are very good as they give [...]

@chaingun, I’ve looked at rapid fire but could never quite suss out where to begin rule book wise? could you enlighten me!

@chaingun said: I must admit I play Rapid Fire for all my 20mm 1/72 WW2 as I find them easy going and you can play very large games in a good time scale. Just another set [...]

I must admit I play Rapid Fire for all my 20mm 1/72 WW2 as I find them easy going and you can play very large games in a good time scale. Just another set of rules for you to have a look at if you wanted to play large battles.

I can score BA for about US$20 on Amazon, but I can’t find BGK for under US$45. Do you think BGK will ever venture into the Pacific?

To be honest the difference isn’t that much 25 for BA, 30 for BGK, both have loads of info as well, overlord supplment is coming out in April, aiming for a salute release, and the mini rule as an added extra for a fiver,

I think I’m most interested in BGK now, but the issue is the rulebook is just too expensive. For that price, I could buy the rulebook and 1/72 starting forces for BA or the Open Fire boxed set for FoW (approximately). I heard a rumor about a smaller, less expensive rulebook being released in April–but [...]
