I have just recently bought myself one of those Malak’s Endless Hordes boxed sets. I am starting an Undead army. Now I have to decide on a color scheme. I thought I would use the Army Painter skeleton bone primer. The armor and clothing should be other colors. Which colors to choose? Mantic’s display models are blue and red. I hate to just copy those because that is not creative. I have seen an army online that was red and white. That looked decent. Anyone with any ideas or opinions, by all means, post!

I thought I might do purple and black. Purple and green clash rather strongly with each other. Those two colors don’t look like they belong together. I am going to paint three of four skeletons according to different color schemes and then see if that helps me decide. I think that I will be able to decide one I have finished test models.

purple is always a solid choice for an undead army. Black with red or yellow details is also quite cool.

I would really consider going with a black and purple scheme as I would likely imagine that they would go very well with each other.

Or if you are not that much up for purple, you could also choose to try a black and green combination. I have to agree that purple and green would seem like an eyesore even more of than hold something of nice creative value to them.

I’ve done a unit of Skeletons in purple and dark gray….with white heraldry and I really like the way they turned out. Manticé skeletons are a great unit with lots of character, I am becoming a big fan
