That should take care of most if not all of the metal space marine miniatures. Especially a finecast Thunderfire Cannon will be appriciated I reckon, as the metal one is often horrible to put together.

Noteable Space Marine models that are currently in metal, but aren’t on the list above include the Dark Angel characters (Azrael, Asmodai and Ezekiel). Perhaps to tie in with a new codex?

  • Avatar Image huscarle647p said 1 year ago:

No Dark Angels in the list and most of them are metal, read into that what you will. I know what I’m thinking.
    Big release soon maybe?

…bah, at least this months WD also has some new SoM stuff in it to tide me over Warhammer wise. Bring me some Tau for 40k and I’ll be alright lol.

Can’t believe this but I’m actually stoked about some finecast models :O Damned thunderfire needed to be changed from that awful metal years ago, and now Lysander is finecast I can chop him up much easier

If at first you don’t succeed, kill any who saw you fail.
Two wrongs might not make a right but they do make you even

Metal Dark Angel Space Marine Terminators are not available on the GW website. … read into that as you will

  • Avatar Image huscarle647p said 1 year ago:

@poosh Do we have the same script writer ? :-)

  • Avatar Image poosh1025p said 1 year ago:

    To huscarle: oh yeah lol!

I read a “rumour” that the 40k 6th Edition box set will have Dark Angel Terminators in. Hmmmm.

  • Avatar Image huscarle647p said 1 year ago:

@poosh Like that kind of rumour. I was thinking of expanding my deathwing but was waiting for new codex to pick weapon options I’m hoping they increase the size of squads.

  • Avatar Image poosh1025p said 1 year ago:

If they are really in the box set, then best to wait til eBay get’s ‘em. I think it’s stupid that GW don’t bother to tell people what is happening. Leads to people buying stuff that is scrapped weeks later.

  • Avatar Image magpie185p said 1 year ago:

@poosh I would actually said that was quite good marketing. If you advertise the new stuff too soon then you never end up selling anything as people are always holding out for the new stuff

THUNDERFIRE CANNON! Yes! Finally… *usually The Rock from WWE fills in here* Looking forward to getting one. After being told in tournaments that it’s a unit that many underestimate quite often. I fell in love with it. It has its hits & misses, but then what unit doesn’t have a bad day?

Plenty of Finecast finally coming. HOPE… HOPE it’s all good quality! Don’t let me down, GW, when I finally grab a Thunderfire, or I swear to the God-Emperor I will wash it up, turn it sideways, and… You know it ends.

I don’t collect Dark Angels, but my brother loves them, especially Deathwing who are meant to be 2nd to Grey Knights. I love their fluff. Perhaps they should be made to really hold their own against Paladins… The very least, they should get a hell of a box set rather than a simple upgrade kit, in my opinion. I suggested to my brother that perhaps, given the DA plasma (ala Blood Angel melta) signature, they should be able to carry a plasma-cannon in the Deathwing…? Maybe a LR can have these as sponsons?

    @magpie

It’s pretty damn smart, true. But I find it unpleasant.

I’ve had some great experience with finecast RUINED by some awful experience and GW sending out replacements that were even worse. In future you should just go down to GW directly, and get them replaced with your own eyes i.e check the stuff.

Will the new Deathwing terminators be more “Space Hulk” style unique sculpts?
