Today’s painting. Beyond the gates of Antares: Ghar Outcast – Think i am slowly improving, picked up some advice is that too paint one model at a time rather than a batch paint – that way can improve each time and enjoy each model as i go along.

Have to learn how to take mini pics as the models not coming out right as i like – any tips and advice on how to take a mini picture would be fantastic

Welcome! Some awesome looking models. I think it was on one of the hobby hangout video posts the guys posted a link to an article with some great mini photography tips. I’ll see if I can find it.

1st Ork Boyz painted in many many years – todays project – have found to paint one mini at a time and break up what you are painting is sure is a awesome way to go – much better than batch painting as you concentrate and show luv to each individual model

Personally, I really like how the blues have an almost soft-glow look to them.

so didn’t get on with painting the bone armour so on this last one went with a gold armour look and incubi green paint for the bodysuit – sure have found painting each model one at a time so much more pleasing than batch painting – i think i am improving slowly but surely with more practice on my edge highlighting as you can see it pops out on the red armour – i do really need to pick up a photo booth

Definitely good choice for the contrast of helmet/armor. I miss having a set of these, but they went to a good home. Keep up the good work
