Just a little project I’ve been doing at home. Ask any questions and I’ll get back to you. Enjoy :)

They said I could be anything. So I became a Tank.

After applying the desert sandy colours (i used two, Vallejo desert yellow and AK warm sand) I applied the decals and made two IDF ident pannels for the back stowage basket using till-reciept paper.

Here I finished blocking out the colours on the model, added some light chipping and applied the first layer of dust. I used AK Light dust deposit fluid, left it to dry, then moved it around with Mig Pigment fixer to kill off the patchy, blotchy effect it had left.

More weathering now, with a mix of using an HB pencil and Mig metalic pigment applied with a cotton bud. This was then sealed with a brushed on coat of Vallejo Acrylic matt varnish. And now all I am waiting for is a resin cast stowage set then i’ll give the whole thing a final detail pass :)

Looks great John, 3rd Bttn, 3rd Company? Will you be adding lots of stowage to the vehicle as a lot of pictures of these in the field were laden with kit strapped to the exterior.????

    Looking good

I presume you’ll be sticking the skulls on later? ;)

I have a big stowage set coming that will fill the rear basket and over the turret.

Awesome work on the paintjob for this @johnlyons. It looks realistic rather looking like a small painted model. Takes a real upgrade in talent and technique to manage that. Brilliant stuff :)

    brainzzz or GTFO!

So my resin stowage kit arrived. I was a bit annoyed as it came with a replacement stowage basket for the turret bustle. But all in all I managed to fill the one on the tank anyway. I particularly love the little radio! It those little details that tell a story or give the final piece some character. Now that the kit is dry-fitted it’s time to paint :D
