I’ve been away from BOW for a while, had a lot of “stuff” going on. I felt like I was missing something, so now I’m back. I was a CSM player/painter mainly Nurgle. Since I was last here I decided to start a new army, the loveable green skinned Orks!
In this thread I hope to document my force as it grows. I already have around 1500 pts, all still boxed. I’m taking this opportunity to share my ork force with anyone who’s willing to follow. This way I can get as much advice, c & c’s as possible. Hope you like.

The less a man makes declaritive statements, the less apt he is to look foolish in retrospect.

Going from nurgle marines to orks? You must really love green. Can’t wait to see some pictures!

First off I’m painting my Stompa. As I said before I’m usually a Nurgle painter. I’m pretty much using the same pallette and technique as I do with my Nurgle army. Hopefully the transition to Orks works just as well, and still has that Orky Feel to it!

As you can see the colour pallette could be mistaken for a Nurgle theme.

Adding certain Orky glyphs, and patterns will hopefully make it…well, Orky

I’ve always wanted to paint an Ork vehicle that was made completely out of other vehicles…..oh wait, that’s what orks do! :P the Ultra Marines panel is just a test. I may do a looted wagon painted using only the colours of there defeated enemies.

    First go at incidental light!

    The head…..

Well that’s it for my first post. Not much done yet but let me know what you think.
C&Cs always make me paint more. And starting a thread/blog etc. that people follow makes it even more rewarding when I finish and can share the results!

@fistberg I just got used to painting greens and browns. My first army was Imperial Guard. Anyway if you watch meet the Parents, Robert deniro himself says “They say genius pick green” …geniuses….genius’s…. you get my point…I hope ;P

Oh god, I love everything about this. Awesome paintjob.

  • Avatar Image biogarbe127p said 3 months, 2 weeks ago:

@fistberg actually, now that you mention it. I just noticed my nid colour scheme…

    Hmmmm?

  • Avatar Image biogarbe127p said 3 months, 2 weeks ago:

    @fistberg thanks :D

    Nice work Bio

Blimey those Orks need to get some snotlings to work with a bit of elbow grease and apply some spit and polish to keep the Stompa looking a bit smarter! lol
    Liking the weathering

@chibi Thanks. You gave me an idea. Picture some snotlings on a window cleaning type hoist trying to clean it, and a runthearder on another hoist, or even a scissor lift ‘ahem’ motivating them to hurry the job!

Fantastic work on the stompa, if you had wip shots you would be a perfect candidate for a new Plog on here!

    Nice rust effects in particular

  • Avatar Image biogarbe127p said 3 months, 2 weeks ago:

@warzan I’ve only painted one side of the Stompa. As I paint the other side I plan on going into more detail about the different techniques I use. @kane thank you.

The Stompa is looking good. Nice rusty and battle worn. Mostly like the yellow/black marks whit the shaded yellow and rust.

  • Avatar Image biogarbe127p said 3 months, 2 weeks ago:

@captain thanks. When I get home from work tonight I’ll be doing a step by step guide on how easy it actually is to do.

Just a quick sketch of what the snotling cleaner could look like..

Obviously the scale is way out…
