Decided to photo up the DAK armour done so far…
…and the Panzer IV Ausf. F2 that I just finished…
Need to photo the infantry and trucks now!
Also stowed up the British Honeys…
Hey guys I have been beavering away on my own things not having enough time for anything ha ha but I managed to more or less finish off the board I will have to do a few things too it but more or less it is done. Doing the water effects was a real bugger [...]
Ok, I lasted 3 hours before ordering some British to try painting up for the Peninsula war. £22 for around 600 figures is hard to beat Nice find @torros ! I’m hoping that the etched detail on the figures is enough to do a basic paint job without too much trouble, I’ll report back when [...]
Iv been working on something different over the past few days and it’s been a nice change.
Iv had some walking dead all out war sets sitting around for a month and they’re now to shiny to ignore!
Rick and Derek
Happy hobbying everyone!
Those are really rather cool – the paint jobs sell them. I wonder if they’re easier or harder to paint than conventional figures? Certainly the napoleonic figures have come out really well.
@georgesealy glad it helps, the ptfe seal is usually by the trigger its what stops paint going backwards, its essentially a miniature oil seal like you get on engines, but tweaking it allows you to dramatically alter the feel of the action, often cheap clones are assembled to a price so often are too tight (stiff [...]
@nakchak thanks for the detailed response! I had seen a video on improving a cheap airbrush that included the polishing step you mentioned and also using beeswax to replace the o-ring on the nozzle (is this the ptfe seal you mention?). I was a bit wary of trying it, although in hindsight I have nothing to [...]

@evilstu I’m having issues with my own airbrush clogging. I cleaned it this morning and thought I had it in good working order but withing five minutes I was having problems. I started with inconsistent spray; if I held the trigger steady and moved it across a blank page my flow was all over the place, [...]
The Bruise Brothers have arrived, can’t wait to get started. I’m thinking a kind of ‘wanted’ poster for the paper.
Streaming again tonight at 8pm if I can pull myself away from playing LOTR War in the North.

@irredeemable well, glad to hear things are still where they should be at your place I’ve been playing a few games of 40k lately… I find it mildly annoying that the Standard Deployment maps show how big the No Mans Land should be… but not the actual deployment zone itself. I get it, the game [...]

Hey @all hope everyone is ok following Ophelia. have had this song stuck in my head all day for some reason: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGvo4JNZaJw @mage yes was using Vallejo spray metallics – still hit problems. I think it would look OK with multiple coats but the airbrush wasn’t cooperating for long enough before clogging so I’ll just roll [...]
