    Agis Primaris Marines

Finally, the new 40K has arrived! 8th edition looks very promising, hopefully next week I have my 1st game.
I have not really played 40K since 5th edition (really did not like the direction the rules were taking).

I was also very curious about the new Marines. So without any further blah blah, here is my 1st Primaris Marine after some serious speed painting.

Primaris Intercessor Brother Marine of the the 2nd company, 7th squad.

Right out of the box, only the head is an old Mk VI “Beaky” helmet. There was a lot of talk about head swaps, so I wanted to try it.
The Primaris are great minis, but are rather static, they are not as pose able as the older plastic Space Marine kits. Even the shoulder pads are fixed!

And the always asked for comparison picture:

Tanith Guardsman, Primaris Marine, Grey Knight and Eldar Ulthwe Guardian.

and as always more on my site: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/space_marines.html

cheers and keep on gaming, Agis – http://www.adpublishing.de

I wonder if anyone ever painted those beaks as *eh* beaks …

Awesome Blood Angel Primaris. And about the static pose, well it’s a starter box model they are always more limited but we will surely get a normal Primaris box with many options and more possible poses.

    Hmm let’s hope so!

Primaris Marines sure are tall chaps compared to old marines. Maybe eventually GW makes multipart plastic kit for them that are more posable than these starter box ones.

Great looking BA Marine @agis . Nice to see the Beaky Mk VI helm, i was contemplating the same thing but wasn’t sure how it would turn out, now i see i had nothing to worry about.
I imagine we will end up with multi-pose Primaris, maybe at the time the new Marine ‘dex drops ?

    Absolutely lovely work.

And the second one, another minor conversion.
This time I swapped the head for a Blood Angel again, I also added another pouch pack with gold droplet, a droplet to the right shoulder pad and a chalice to his right gauntlet.

And since some asked about a pic with a terminator…

That looks really good. Personally I do like that with Primaris Marines you option to add detail with extra parts that you happen to have instead of models themselves having too much detail.

Damn, your ‘speed painting’ is twice as nice as my best efforts.

Well… to be honest the Lieutenant took me like 3+ h, so no real speed here…
    ;)
