Warlord have released a new set of Celtic themed resin bases.
What do you think of these? Might you use them for any of your minis?
I think they’ll look best scattered through an army rather than whole units on them, unless you want to put undead on them and use them for a graveyard, that many crosses will stand out as a bit odd, so best save them for champions and the like.
Needs more crosses.
Why are all of the crosses facing the same direction?
Deffinatly would use them sparingly thoughout a unit but nice sculpts either way
just rotate the base, it’s a square, then they won’t be facing the same direction
Given the availability of information about pre-Christian Celtic stone work and and art in general, its a shame that any time the word ‘Celtic’ comes up as a design motif, the default Celtic cross becomes the sole expression, and everything else is discarded.
