As you can see this new Warlock and her accompanying solos have truly embraced the strange and the magical. They look decidedly nicer to have around compared to some of the weird stuff we’ve seen from the Grymkin too.
Here’s some more on her background…
“Having rejected Menoth’s reality, the Dreamer chose to live within the more pleasing confines of her own dreamworld. Existence itself conforms to her slumbering visions—or is punished for its resistance. Freed from Urcaen with the other Defiers, the Dreamer imposes her phantasmal will upon the mortals of the Iron Kingdoms.”
I think this is a stunning model and once again something new and different for the world of Hordes. I like the addition of the moons around her floating dress drawing on that idea of lunacy and madness.
Joining this lovely lady (who I’m sure is nothing of the sort) we also have the Twilight Sisters.
“The Twilight Sisters offer grim bargains to those they meet on the perilous roads of the Iron Kingdoms. As these enigmatic witches travel, they offer aid to their grymkin fellows, all while serving their own ends and punishing the wicked for their folly. Those who renege on a pact made with the sisters quickly see their lives end amid unimaginable torment.”
This pair really does add to the feeling of twisted fairy tale around Hordes and the Grymkin. It continues to show ways for the Privateer team to show off their skills creating new and interesting models and I think the Witch here, hunched over and creepy with her cauldron of ichor, looks awesome.
We also got a look at another of the shambling beasts that the Grymkin employs on the tabletop. Here we have the monstrous Rattler…
“Named for the jangling of the iron links that wrap it as it trembles with feral hatred for the Defiers’ corrupt foes, the gaunt rattler is the most spiteful nightmare serving the Wicked Harvest. Catching sight of the enemy throws a rattler into a mad rage, and in this frenzy it hurtles into crowds of the unfortunate to lay waste with its bladed claws.”
They’ve gone for the nightmare fuel again with this one, wrapped in chains and with those brutal looking claws that would make Edward Scissorhands seem tame by comparison. I think it’s another neat new warped monster to throw into the mix.
Are you a fan of these new Grymkin models?
