Check out the latest 3D images of the new exclusive mercenary miniature for Infinity, available first from the Battle Foam stand at GenCon 2012.
Here’s a couple of shots but there’s more in the video:
So is this your hot new Tag? If so let us know why below.
The Infinity model range just keeps getting better and better… this is a fantastic sculpt. It has got me wondering whether they are making a move to plastic?
Anyway with this and the McMurrough fig I am a very happy Infinity Player.
So true they look great!
From what we know, no, no move in plastic, resin or resin plastic is planned, if nothing else they have upgrades their metal casting technology recently.
Personally, beyond my preference of the metal as medium, plastic technology is not to the level that would do justice to what CB has as models quality, undercuts, and other limitations of the solid inflexible moulds degrade the quality and poses of the models, while increase the parts count tremendously.
There is also the problem of needing somebody to do the casting, because the costs to do it yourself are great and are only offset when the model production is huge, many companies recently have illustrated how tricky this can be.
@jasbrick: I hope they’ll never go to plastic…
Looks great nice pose, love the little details like how he is posed engaging human sized models, or how over the top his combat pose is, in line with his background.
is it just me that thinks it looks like is from Appleseed?? eswat anyone XD
Nope. The whole game is inspired by Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Gundam, and other sci-fi anime.
This is a beautiful fig. Even if I never do mercs I’ll be buying this guy.
Great looking fig. It’s too bad under the current ITS you’re not allowed to take mercs in your list.
Actually, I believe that Sectorial armies could take mercs as long as the merc is in the available units for Sectorial armies. That being said, I don’t know of any sectorial (yet) that allows for this particular model.
Yes, Qapu Khalqi use those extensively. (10 pt. grunts )
Loving the fact you can see the pilot in the same pose as the arms of the TAG
Yep, another fantastic mini from CB!
