@zoidpinhead said: @caladors On the subject of GW IPs, It isn’t my place to offer a history of GW here but as most of us know they were originally founded as a boardgame and role playing game company, the miniatures bit (Citadel) came slightly later. What GW did first was put miniatures and games together successfully.
They were [...]
There would also be room for a lot of skirmish adventures after the fall of Mordor. The book says that King Aragorn and the other free peoples spent the next few years rooting out the forces of evil, exploring areas like Moria, Mordor, Angmar, Gundabad, etc. I can’t remember how long it was before Frodo [...]
If they don’t I can bring you down mine.
I will be building until late and then painting as well. Managed to squeeze in building and painting my Dropfleet between games last time and intend to do the same this time too. I wonder if the guys have any weathering powders in their pop up store.
@unclejimmy somewhere in germany, boring hetero single, and i just served my mandatory 9 month in the Bundeswehr. Worked at the Spiel in Essen for a LARP manufacturer for two years. One year was rather boring just standing at their shop and selling stuff. The second year i had to run around the halls and advertise [...]
You might consider setting the games in Dol Guldur. It’s got a lot going for it in terms of location and history. Who knows what dark secrets lay under that cursed fortress? The “Dungeons of the Necromancer” and the blighted Southern Mirkwood would be ideal for a Frostgrave setting. I’d go for the period after [...]
@jamest123 Thanks for the good wishes on the knees. I am at 13 weeks and 4 days after surgery and have been released from therapy so now I actually have more time available! @jamest123 and @tibour I agree, the BP rules are a great set for large and fast games if you are not into heavy simulation. I [...]
@commodorerob – I think you being first is a first! 10pts. Listening to music, and live music, would be one of mine too. 7pts. I had a few friends that I would listen to music with and the last time I saw three of them they said they just don’t bother listening to music anymore. When [...]
They’re only a quid from asda or tesco. You keep them by the sink for scrubbing under your nails when you wash your hands. I’ve used them for cleaning hundred of things from marks on a pair of jeans, remote controls and xbox pads to seals on fridges and car alloys.
If you can find them where you live, a gun cleaning kit usually has a very stiff bristled plastic or vinyl type brush.
I know you can’t find them everywhere but these won’t hurt the metal but do work well.
Great looking minis @querion , Just ordered the Red Veil boxset but bricking it over the much smaller detail compared Forge World stuff. @biggabum , Cheers fella I’ll be glad when it’s finished so i can move on to something else…dragged on a tad. She’s not going to be mate, Got some bad news Nov last year, [...]
Great game all around. You table looks great. I am currently building up my ACW collect rather slowly. Unfortunately I am the only member of my club interested in gaming this period. Another high point to the Black Powder system from my point of view is the easy of which it handles multi player. I [...]
Speaking just for myself, I hope to have most of my army built and painted ahead of time. Definitely paid off during the Team Yankee boot camp. I would have never finished my Soviets in time (but I was spending a lot of time doing other things on Friday).
