The Brit 25 pounders hold off the Germans long enough for the Crusaders to make their sweeping flank from end to end making Swiss cheese of the panzers
Its not bad but I miss John doing the battle report.
Seems straigtforward enough, but you are mostly out in the open
Great going for German now – I think the next few moves will be rolling of the left flank (the side shoots wont help) and overrunning the center … German Victory !
The batreps are always the best part of a fow launch

Loving how the game play`s, and it just goes to show how quickly you can start to lose equipment.
the Germans have the British on the ropes until a time rift opens & a couple of TOW armed Lynx helicopters cut a swathe through the panzers…..
I thought that Phil’s tactics with the Brits were sound, but I think the Germans will carry the day. If the Grant’s bad luck can turn around Phil still has a chance.

Good start to the game.
After this first part of the game I have the feeling that it goes a lot smoother than 3rd edition.
Especially with the use of the unit cards.
Seems 25pdr will blow out ponzers on just one salvo. I remember echen a 8 artillery pieces shots at my tigers and blast them by pairs!
How many points would the el alamein starter actually be? To help work out what to go for next…
I think the crusaders will get a lucky turn and take a panzer 3 out before pushing on past them. The British gun position will hold whilst the grants will take the brunt of a very nasty hammering. The grant that is now on the hill will be the next model to die an inglorious death but ultimately british stoicism will win the day against superior machinery. Looks fairly balanced and looking forward to trying out my El Alamein starter I’ve bought today!!!
Cracking game so far. Is 62 points average, big or small for v4? Only 4 units a side but making use of all that table.
