Fabled Realms: Beta Rules Update

We stop in with Cad once more to find out how the Beta Weekend folk have been taking to the new rules changes that were announced earlier in the day.

So, see what you think about what they've been doing and let us know in the comments if YOU have enjoyed some of the changes too.

Once again, nice to see a company listen to players and make adjustments where needed.

Goblins are really scary, from a definite point of view. 😉

Good look, 4Ground. Interesting to know if the changes to the number of actions Henchmen get would make a Henchmen-heavy warband viable – Spend points getting your leader to generate high Momentum, and fill remaining points with 2-action-each Henchmen?

Swap the Gobbo’s spears for toothpicks that should slow em down.

This really gives me so much hope the final product will turn out amazing. Love it when companies listen to their fans.

These things can never be completely balanced, but i like that they are dealing with the obvious issues as they appear.

What, goblins instant killing characters, you can’t have that. Sounds fun but still.

Really nice that they involve the players in shaping the game.

All those changes sound fair, the super powered golbins sounded cool, completely get why you need to change them slightly though. Hopefully not long till we see the rules now! I cant wait so start proper games. Id love to see some organised play of sorts each year too as the followin is quite small at the moment and I need people to play against!! 😀

I’ve read ( and heard ) a lot about companies beta testing their games, it’s great to be watching a weekend like this one and find out how it has been taken on board by a company such as 4Ground. The instant feedback this gets the game is amazing and will give 4Ground a lot to work with.

Loved this segment.
I hope that there are plans afoot to invite other developers to participate in a Beta test weekend.

Good to hear that the three rules seem to be working OK. I’m sure I’d learn the dice system once I played it a couple of times. Still a little nervous about the card system.

Goblins, you’re 15 minutes are up, sorry. 10 wounds insta killing a unit. That’s just awesome. 3 terrors? oops.
