Seconded. Would be nice to have them all in one post rather than having to trawl through the separate ones to find them. 🙂

if the KD:M black knight is the winner it’s well deserved, that’s some lovely freehand.

Just got home from Salute. Entered four painting categories… in fact the first major competition for 30 years, but my son’s first ever. Standard was very high as to be expected. I was just pleased my kit bashed Word Bearers, Flame Eagle Veteran Sgt, Pathfinder Red Dragon and my son’s Sanguinary Guard all made it there in one piece. Despite not making the final cut it’s still immensely gratifying to see other people photographing your miniatures and discussing with their friends how much they like your stuff. It seemed to be a few familiar names winning the prizes again… but… Read more »

I meant get an air brush… a spray gun sounds far too destructive! 😉

Big thanks also to the Salute painting competition organisers. They were all so enthusiastic about all the entries and took so much care in receiving, displaying and returning the minis. A brilliant experience… give them all an ‘outstanding customer services’ award in the BoW end of year accolades please.

Well done all

(surely being able to actually paint as well as mini paint as shown on that gorgeous black knight is akin to cheating, really impressive stuff)

Congratulations well deserved wins all around. I would have liked to see them all posted with their awards, maybe in another article on the BOW site.

The mini with the scull banner was pretty cool

Agreed, that was really cool and constructed very well. I was also really impressed with the junior class. It appears there’s definitely new talent coming through to watch… I hope they can keep off their iPads and Xboxes and mobiles to stick with miniature painting. 🙂
