You will be able to get your hands on some next exclusives including the free eBook download by Garry McElherron. The game is based on his teen novel, delving into myth and folklore from Ireland as the basis for your adventures.

What's The Game About?

As well as being able to check out an interview we did with Backspindle Games above on MourneQuest, here's a look at some of the characters and monsters you'll be facing on your journey.

MourneQuest Heroes

The game is for two to four players and sees you cooperatively working against the dangerous Nightmares of the land, inspired as mentioned above by Irish folklore.

"Players assume the roles of the book's heroes and must journey in the Mourne Mountains to work together to defeat the evil Shimnavore before it is too late. On their quest, they’ll encounter many enemies, including infuriating Bogbeans and terrifying Nightmares like the Banshee, the Changeling and the Dullahan.

To triumph, heroes must gather charms, equipment and magical relics, to increase their powers and use their skills and combat abilities effectively."

Each of the characters will be visiting nexus points around the board, gaining ability points and upgrading themselves before the final encounter. Along the way they will have to deal with the attacks of Bogbeans as you see above and the dangerous Nightmares.

The gameplay is nice and simple, with all combat resolved using a single dice roll using their custom dice. If you want an in-depth look at how the game plays they've provided you with a neat tutorial below.

This game has a wonderful charm to it with amazing artwork, stunning miniatures and gameplay which will be good for younger gamers and those older ones wanting to go on a Fantasy adventure.

Make sure to give it a look on Kickstarter!
