This week on TableTop Wil Wheaton is joined by Sandeep Parikh and Felicia Day (bet that got your attention) to bring you a close look at what has long been one of my all time favourite games. Its time to kick down the door and face the monster in Munchkin!
(Steve if you ever read this sorry, I could not get the video to stop on a moment when you weren’t pulling a funny face.)
Munchkin is brilliant parody of all those standard fantasy role playing games you might be used to in which players form alliances and subsequently back stab one another in a race to get to level 10.
Each of the players takes it in turn to kick down a door. Behind the door could be something useful, or there could be a fearsome monster guarding a treasure. As you defeat monsters you will go up levels, bribing other players with promises of a share in the treasure to help you out, all the while looking for the best chance to screw them over.
But you didn’t click this post just to read my prattle, watch the video and let Wil Wheaton and co. show you how it goes.
