It's a sad day for tabletop gaming fans as Wayne England, one of the most prolific artists in the industry, has sadly passed away.

Wayne England Blood Angel

Wayne England was an artist whose work spanned a wide variety of games and genres, including such giants as Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40k and Fantasy, and Magic the Gathering.

This is alongside his work as a concept artist for Avatars of War...

His work is well regarded as having a vivid style that has influenced the visual style of the games he has worked for. While you might not have recognised his name, you have almost certainly seen some of his pieces.

Wayne England did a great job at realising the worlds and characters we have all been playing with. He is survived by his wife and children and I am sure will be sorely missed by the gaming community.

Do you recognise Wayne England's art? What's your favourite piece of his?

Our sincerest thoughts go out to Victoria and his family.
