Andy pointed me in the direction of this painting tutorial vid which promises that anyone who follows its techniques will achieve a Golden Demon. Hmm...
Well having given it a watch I can safely say that I think my own painting has improved and this video is likely to either help you or give Romain a heart attack.

That oil step actually looked quite good! I use oil washes when I want a more precise effect, though – stupid me – I’ve been thinning the oil with turps, not olive oil…. I wonder if extra virgin works best?

Hey guys — I just talked to the Anonymous Painter over at PugButt Minis. He says he’s safe — for now — but he’s about to make things much, much worse for himself. He said he’s working on a Tau conversion tutorial that’s guaranteed to get you on the cover of White Dwarf. Hopefully he’ll plug away at it and get it up by the end of next week. Time will tell.
I may be barking up the wrong tree here but am detecting a canine theme and both ends of the stick 😉
