I am very excited to say that my journey to the creation of a miniature has finally come to it's end as I hold in my hand, my very own resin, 32mm, Jezebel miniature. Prodos Games hit this one out of the park!

Jezebel final with black & white

It's as if some sort of witchcraft had a part in this, because the level of detail they were able to retain from the original beautiful artwork is nothing short of magical. Her facial features, her wicked mechanical arm, her unusual broom and chain and even the string that laces her corset together are crystal clear!

I was also extremely impressed with how clean the pieces were on the sprue. There was really very little flashing to clean up and what little there was easily remedied with a hobby knife. There was no trimming or risky filing to pretty any of it up, so I was never worried about breaking her delicate pieces.

The miniature went together so nicely as well. There was no fiddling with positions or ambiguity as to how exactly any of it fit.

Jezebel Sprue (1 of 1)

As I was so anxious to put Jezebel together as soon as I got her, I used a wooden plank base insert from Brush 4 Hire to help set the scene. If you haven't used them before, I was really pleased with the final result as it was quick and easy and ended up flush with lip on the base- something that doesn't always happen when using base inserts.

Jezebel Right

I cannot wait to see how she looks painted up and I can only hope that my questionable painting skills can do her justice. I will definitely be asking for a talented painter to bring a Jezebel to life for me, but my journey will not be complete until I paint her up myself.

Jezebel Left

This brings me to my last bit of news. After having my creation in hand and suddenly wishing I had more, we've come up with an idea. I don't have the details just yet, but given the theme of this year's Salute is Steampunk, I'm 99% sure I'll be having a limited run made and you will be able to purchase your own Limited Edition Jezebel. Stay tuned for more details on this very soon.

On that note, I once again need to thank my friends at Paranoid Miniatures for hooking me up with their ridiculously talented artist, Shane Cook, who allowed me a truly magical glimpse at character creation. It was amazing to watch him breathe life into Jezebel until she ultimately was able to walk off the paper and into the talented hands at Prodos Games.

Another massive thank you is owed to Prodos Games for being so easy to work with and doing a phenomenal job of taking a beautiful piece of two dimensional art and transforming it into a stunning 3D form. What a wonderful journey.

Manpug, Jezebel will be making her way to you soon! As a lovely extra twist, based upon the interest in Jezebel, I will be working with Prodos to have a limited run of Jezebels made.

I thought this would be a great way to share my experience with the Beasts of War community and help fund our next trip over for Salute.

For anyone interested in purchasing their own Jezebel miniature, please send me an email at [email protected]. I will bring the miniatures over with us to Salute, and we can make arrangements to ship for those that will not be there.

What do you think of the final results for Jezebel?
