Perry Miniatures are currently working on a few new Napoleonic figures and have just shown off the upcoming miniatures for the French Fusiliers campaigning in Egypt.
Sculpted wearing Kleber ordinance uniforms, these were apparently a bit different from the normal French blue uniforms in that they sported a number of colours. However, the more standard blue uniforms were used beforehand in the Syrian campaign of 1799.
I would love to see how these look once fully painted up. Multi-coloured, they would definitely stand out from the more usual French armies. Not knowing much about the French Napoleonic armies in Egypt, I’d be interested in seeing more of these models from Perry.
Can you history buffs tell us more about this period of Napoleonic warfare?
