The Cardinal was an influential clergyman who acted as First Minister to the King. He had a shrewd mind and considerable influence during the wars of 1618 to 1648. This particular piece is based on this work of art…
And if that wasn’t enough to make you think about buying this model there is also the matter of his ‘guest’. He comes in two forms, one without a mask and the other bearing the famous Iron Mask.
So what do you make of Richelieu and the Man in the Iron Mask? I think this is a great little set which would be perfect for creating a diorama. Any models that tell a story are good in my books.
Will you suspect the Inquisition?
