If you chose to deploy it at the beginning of the game it can be deployed up to half way up the board on your side of the table edge. If you deploy it via deep strike and it scatters into enemy units place both blast markers (large and small) over the obelisk anyone under the small blast marker is crushed by the obelisk and suffers instant death and anyone under the large blast template must take a pinning test. You may not deliberately deploy into an enemy unit.
