Rubicon Models Shows Off “Old Blood and Guts” Patton WIP

August 3, 2016 by stvitusdancern

Rubicon Models has shown off on Facebook what many would say is one of America’s greatest generals, George S. Patton Jr.

This hard charging, dual pistol packing, tough as nails general drove man and machine to the breaking point. “Old Blood and Guts” as he was known to his troops came from several speeches he gave to his men prior to battle. He was a big proponent of armoured warfare and did a lot for the tank community.

This WIP (work in progress) is a fine work of art and I believe captures the spirit of the man.

Along with the General is his faithful companion, Willie the Bull Terrier. This dog went everywhere Patton went and will be forever associated with him. I am not sure what scale he will be in, but I hope it will be 28mm and then I can use him in my games. I will be anxiously awaiting the final result and will be right there to pick one up.

Who is your favourite leader?
