Scale75 have added two more Smog Riders to their range for painters and collectors. With a distinct chibi-style they are a great little project for hobbyists looking to try their hand at some cartoon-like paint jobs full of vibrant colours...

Scylla

The first of the two models to take a look at is the sea-born temptress that is Scylla. The lower body being like that of a mermaid means that you have some opportunities to paint glittering scales and the long flowing hair is just begging for a bit of blending and washing to give it the look of the sea itself.

Scylla (Front)

Scylla (Rear)

You even have something to tie things back into the Steampunk world with her trident having additional gears and cogs worked into the metal. A pretty fun model to start thinking about for your next painting project.

Duane Van Der Shark

As well as the more lithe Scylla we have a brute of a character too. Duane Van Der Shark, yes that is his name, comes up from the deep to cause a bit of damage...

DUANE VAN DER SHARK (Front)

DUANE VAN DER SHARK (Rear)

While he is very cool I can't stop shaking the Street Sharks feeling! I loved that show and Duane reminds me of that show so much. Basically now I want someone to make some awesome new Street Sharks for the tabletop.

Taking of the tabletop I think that the Smog Riders would make some awesome models for a board game of some sort. I could see them featuring on a very nice bespoke game with nice components that you have to paint up yourself.

What do you think of the range?
