Only thing i can see them being used for is a deathstar with a Hive Tyrant + Tyranid Prime.
only good for additive wounds to get a foot slogging hive tyrant into assault. once in assault they are fair with no upgrades. reroll 1s due to scything talons and on 6s wounds are rends due to rending claws. They are not monstrous creatures so although u cannot target a HT that has joined them they dont get any of the monstrous creature benefits. Fair. not sure about previous poster guess u keep TP close cuz once the HT joins the guard he cannot additionally join a TP. and the TP is already rerolling all misses with two pairs of scything talons so preferred enemy does nothing for him.
